Gallery M2 Presents STEAMROLLED II: WONDERLAND

STEAMROLLED II: WONDERLAND - The Prints of ROCKIN’ ROLLIN’ PRINTS 2012

June 7 - June 24, 2012
Opening Reception: June 8, 2012, 7 p.m.– 9 p.m.

Houston, TX - On April 15, 2012, PrintMatters and Saint Arnold Brewery hosted the second ROCKIN’ ROLLIN’ PRINTS, a one-day steam roller printmaking event at the Brewery. The purpose of ROCKIN’ ROLLIN’ PRINTS 2012 is to educate the general public about printmaking. What better way to learn about the process than to watch a team of master printers ink 3' X 5' woodblocks with rollers and then have a three-ton steamroller roll over them?

This event was the kick-off of PRINTHOUSTON 2012, an annual event organized by PrintMatters. Exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and special events will take place at art galleries, museums, non-profit organizations, and commercial spaces, and museums throughout Houston from May to September.

Gallery M Squared is excited to exhibit the monumental prints from ROCKIN’ ROLLIN’ PRINTS 2012 from June 7 to June 24. The opening reception will be Friday, June 8, from 7–9 p.m. Almost all of the artists will be in attendance. The gallery is located at 339 West 19th Street, Houston, Texas.
