Free the Minds: A Benefit in the Heights
Free the Minds
Benefitting The Real School
Visionary Noise
On Friday October fifth at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar 9 p.m. The Houston Free Thinkers and Visionary Noise Present: Free the Minds a Benefit Concert for the Real School (A.K.A. Dragon Valley).

The Beneficiary
The Real School is a non-hierarchical learning environment, free of coercion and control and rooted in consensus decision making.
The school is a space where kids are free to make their own choices. This freedom necessitates responsibility to yourself, others, and the environment, as well as a willingness to communicate, cooperate, self-regulate, and assess your behavior and that of others.
The school believes that disagreement and conflict are simply part of life. Punishment has no role in conflict resolution at the school. Instead, through respect, honesty, understanding and forgiveness, community members will strive to bridge gaps and heal wounds that result from conflict. We welcome different levels of involvement. Some folks may want to be here every weekday; others may come a couple times a week, some may only want to come for specific events.

The Venue
At 1031 E 24th St Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar is easily accessible from most anywhere within or near the 610 loop. The place has an excellent feel, great sound, and peaceful spacious patio. There is plenty of room inside as well with space for over 260 people Dan Electro’s will make a great venue for this show. There is plenty of parking but give a friend a ride and share a great evening.
The Lineup
Days N' Daze – Self described as “folk punk and skas goofy younger sibling!” Days N Daze fuse heart, energy, and creativity to generate music that has a unique edge.

Rampancy - Rocking, rolling, writing music, and exploring the unknown. This band opened for an all day festival that had over 20 bands play yet this writer remembers their sound. They are a heavy rock that mixes it up like you have never heard.
